Activity #1, weather report (30 pts)
In a group of 2-3 people, demonstrate your command of el tiempo by creating a weather report. The weather report must be recorded on either video or DVD, or it may be done as an iMovie. Include the following in your weather report:

____ 3 days of weather (today, tomorrow, Friday, etc)
____ 3 weather expressions per day, and when (morning/afternoon/evening forecast, etc)
____ 1 article of clothing needed per day; different types of clothing must be mentioned
____ each person in the group must speak an equal amount
The weather report can be done with real people, puppets, paper dolls, etc. Sound effects, props, special lighting, etc. will make this project more interesting. Remember, the more creative you get, the more fun you have. The forecasts must reflect the real weather for those cities/countries and must be spoken in complete sentences (recorded on the tape/DVD/iMovie). Please include a script of the weather report when you turn it in. And above all, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! Also, view your video/DVD/iMovie before turning it in to make sure it turned out. If you turn it in without previewing it and it does not work, it is then late.

Activity #3, describe a picture (15 pts)
Describe a picture to your partner. As you are describing the picture, your partner will draw the picture without looking at it. When you are done, switch roles and your partner will describe a different picture to you. This MUST be done in front of the teacher and both pictures must be described on the same day. To practice, use some of the pictures provided before presenting to the teacher. Include vocabulary and weather expressions from the chapter, as well as previously learned vocabulary. The picture must match the description, but does not have to have everything exactly as the original picture (i.e. if there is a dog on the bottom left in the original picture, but the person drawing puts the dog in the upper right, this is ok). Use NO ENGLISH!!! You only need one activity sheet per pair.

Activity #7, temperatures (15 pts)
Choose a Spanish-speaking city and track the daily high and low temperatures for 5 days in a row. You can track these temperatures many different ways (news reports, newspapers, websites [such as weather channel], etc).
