Unique athletes inaunique island!

Great athletes, with unique performance will be present in the pioneering sports event!

“Santorini Experience” comes on 01-03 May 2015, on the magical island of Santorini, and is expected to provide thrills and grant special moments for participants and spectators who decide to attend the weekend of May Day on the island of Cyclades!

Specifically, the swimming route of 1.5 miles (2.4 km) will be held on Saturday, according to international standards of open water swimming races, under the overall supervision of the Coach of Greek National Swimming FederationNikos Gemelos. The route will be exciting and an unusual experience, as professional and amateur athletes will have the opportunity to swim next to Gold medalist and twice World Champion Spyros Gianniotis, World Champions Antonis Fokaidis and Kelly Araouzou and the Pan-European Champion George Arniakos.

Entries do not stop here! As the “Santorini Experience”will be honored with the participation of the Paralympic athlete and triathlon champion Giannis Chatzibeis.

On Sunday 03 May, the action moves to Oia and the desalination plant, where will be the starting point for the participants of the routes of 5, 10 and 15 km. Running will take place with direction towards Fira and overlooking the unique images of the volcano, the caldera, and the houses of the village Imerovigli, at gently downhill and uphill paths, with the finishing being carried back to the starting point. Entries for the race will be accepted until Thursday 30/04/2015 electronically at: alternatively to store Alafouzos Sport in Fira.
