Activation Stations - Internal Process Document

Purpose: The purpose of activation stations is to drive activations at a targeted school. We want to make it easy for student to activate their digital solution.

Types: There are two types of Activation Stations – outside the bookstore and outside the classroom

Outside the Classroom. This is an LSC-owned and driven initiative.

Designed to get students who are taking a specific course using a specific digital solution. This is typically just run by the LSC as it targets a specific group of students using a specific digital solution. LSCs will determine if they want to take advantage of this initiative and run where they deem appropriate.
Marketing will provide signage and quick start guides.
LSCs are responsible for bringing any appropriate quick start guides (already built by marketing), advertising to instructor(s) leading up to the DayOne and to students directly at the DayOne. LSCs will also determine the location (outside the classroom, outside the prof’s office) and the best day/time to run these, normally in consultation with the instructor(s).

Outside the Bookstore. This initiative is driven by the Marketing and Sales Managers. If you feel your account would be a good candidate for this, please contact your RSM.

Designed to get ANY student who bought ANY Nelson/Cengage digital solution. This is coordinated by the Executive Marketing Manager and RSMs. If your institution has been selected for this initiative, Marketing or your RSM will be in touch with you with regards to dates and next steps.

Esther will work with the bookstore to get tables for us to use right outside the bookstore.
Marketing will provide signage for the tables to advertise our purpose for being there.

The DSM team will bring all appropriate getting started guides needed (depending on which digital solutions have been sold at that account).

Attendance should include as many Nelson people that are able to be there to help with the student rush – LSCs, RSMs, DSMs, MMs.
