Acknowledgements and Thanks

The SANCTA National Committee extends its thanks and appreciation to everyone within SANCTA who has contributed in any way in 2016/17 to the organization of the SANCTA Annual One- Act Play Festival and Full Length Festival and to today’s Award Ceremony and in particular to:

The SANCTA National Chairperson, Noel Mc Donald, for his vision, foresight, passion and drive to keep SANCTA, with all it’s new innovations, and Community Theatre alive and prospering.

The SAMRO Foundation –for their ongoing sponsorship and support to Sancta since 2000, especially Andre Le Roux –CEO and Anriette Chorne -Head of Music; IATA, for their international support and recognition of SA enabling them to participate in the 4 yearly “Festival du Mondial” in Monaco in 2001/5/9.Sadly we missed the 2013 festival due to financial constraints and, even worse, will again miss the 2017 festival, both of which we were chosen for.

Ms Dorothy Gould, Mr. Michael Maxwell and Mr Swannie Swanevelder for the total co – ordination of the education, training and mentoring, and Swannie gave 4 two day 10 minute Writing workshops, for the preparation of the SANCTA 36th Festival held in Secunda, Mpumalanga in March this year.

Our SANCTA Reps – Mr Nicholas Slodican – our new Rep in Mpumalanga; Mr. Ndumiso Mazibuko in Pietermaritzburg; Mr Cameron Lawry in Cape Town (Who also does our Newsletters) , Mrs. Thobile Mogale of The Mpumalanga Government- Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation.Gert Sibande Region and The Two Dept Heads of Arts and Recreation in Nelspruit-Mr Skaka Mkwanazi and Mr Simon Khumalo and The Sasol Secunda Reps- Mrs Mpume Mdakane and Mrs Elaine Wildey.

Mrs Brenda Sakellarides - Chair of the NSA Governing Body and Mr Natali –New Principal of The NSA - for the use of the Main School Hall today and its facilities and their support to Sancta.

The participants of the Various SANCTA festivals, without whose dedication and support there would be no SANCTA Festivals, One – Act and Full – Length and Gala Awards Ceremonies and all the audiences that supported us.
