CYF Human Services Manager (Juvenile Justice)
Question One
This CYF Human Services Manager position implements and manages Dane County’s Juvenile Justice (JJ) programs for the Children, Youth & Families Division.
Please describe any training, education and work experience specifically related to juvenile justice that have prepared you for this position.
Question Two
Developing and implementing new program initiatives is a major responsibility of this position.
Please describe how your training and experience have prepared you to do this. Also provide a specific example of a significant initiative or program you have developed and implemented. Indicate your role, the process, barriers or challenges faced, and outcome.
Question Three
Another major responsibility of the Juvenile Justice Services Manager involves personnel management, including direct supervision of four (4) supervisors and indirect responsibility for the 50+ line staff they supervise.
Please describe any training and experience you have had that relates to direct supervision, hiring staff; motivating, coaching, training and evaluating performance, and progressive discipline.
Question Four
The Juvenile Justice Services Managerregularly interfaces with directors and other representatives from local community agencies. These contacts may involve, but are not limited to, Purchase of Service (POS) contract management, joint planning, and/or problem resolution.
