Director of Operations and Assistant Winemaker

As the first employee, I was responsible for launching the brand, developing the sales and marketing plan, supporting our custom crush winemaking team, overseeing vineyard operations, website development, wine club formation, opening the tasting room and event facilities, hiring new employees, authoring the monthly e-newsletter, managing the accounting (Quickbooks) and all statewide and out-of-state compliance.

Rotated through all production aspects in the cellar and on the crush pad. Work included crushing, racking, topping, pumpovers, juice and must additions, pressing, barrel work, sanitization, and inventory.

Harvest Intern

Worked directly with small winemaking team in all aspects of the cellar to produce world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as manage custom crush client’s wine. Performed cellar work including sanitizing, crushing, racking, punchdowns, pumpovers, pressing, barrel work, forklift operation and bottling.

Worked one-on-one with winemaker and owner Michael Michaud in all aspects of sales and production of limited production fine wine, including sales processing and office work, cork selection and design of labels, vineyard work, cellar work, and lab work.
