Terri Mayes

Accomplished Executive and Change Leader

Terri Mayes is a highly accomplished and respected executive who has earned a reputation as a results oriented leader. She has an impressive track record of driving results as a Vice President in a fortune 100 organization. Her career path included a purposeful tour of duty in diverse departments affording her a unique perspective as a business leader (call center, supply chain, sales, P&L owner, and HR). Terri has led numerous organizational wide changes and overcomes resistance and gains enthusiastic buy-in at all levels of an organization for new initiatives.

Most recently, Ms. Mayes served as vice president of talent, leadership, and organizational development for OfficeMax/Office Depot. At the announcement of the 18-billion dollar merger between OfficeMax and Office Depot, Terri was named the lead for OfficeMax for the organizational talent work-stream with specific focus on managing the change, talent retention, organizational design, selection process development, synergy achievement, and talent off-boarding.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming, Terri completed graduate level executive education through University of Notre Dame, a certificate in Change Management through Prosci, and advanced training as an executive coach through Excellero Leadership Studies. Terri is Founder and President of Mayes Bridging Strategies, LLC, Bridging Performance and Results to Business Objectives and leverages her substantial business background to assist for profit and non-profit organizations to achieve desired business results.

Terri is equipped to communicate with all levels within an organization. As the Vice-Chairwoman of the Board for the Illinois Diversity Council, Terri has spoken as an authority on diversity talent/leadership and engagement strategies, and networks extensively with executives in the Chicago-land area.

Lori HilsonCioromski Biography

Lori HilsonCioromski - is the oldest child of TH Hilson Company’s founder Terry Hilson. She is the President & CEO of the TH Hilson Company, a Midwest specialty chemical distributor headquartered in suburban Chicago. TH Hilson Company was the recipient of Cabot’s “2012 Distributor of the Year Award” and the 2010 & 2008 recipient of the EPS/CCA’s “Distributor of the Year Award”.

Lori has been with TH Hilson since 1985 and was named President in 2001. Under Lori’s leadership, the company has expanded its territory, developed new markets, and formed a strong management team focused on the company’s commitment to service and growth. Since the downturn in 2009, TH Hilson has seen growth of 42.5% with 2013 being the best year yet.

Lori is also the President of Essential Water Technologies, a specialty chemical water treatment and facility maintenance chemical and service provider.

Lori received the “2014 Most Powerful & Influential Women Award” from the Illinois Diversity Council. Lori is also the recipient of NAWBO Chicago’s “2012 Business Women of the Year Award”. NAWBO Chicago’s “2011 Member of the Year Award” the recipient of the Emergency Fund’s “2011 Heart of the Community Award”, the 2010 “Enterprising Women of the Year” and the 2008 recipient of The Business Ledger‘s “Entrepreneur Excellence Growth Award”.

Lori is the Immediate Past-President for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Chicago. She is the President of the newly formed 5013C NAWBO Spirit Foundation a non-profit that helps future women entrepreneurs by providing scholarships and supporting charities that help fund start-ups including under-privileged women owned business’s.
