As an exchange student of School of Management, Xiamen University, you could choose to live in campus or live off campus.

How to Apply:
Please bring your acceptance Letter of Xiamen University, and go to the front desk of the accommodation listed above, as an exchange student, the receptionist will arrange you an accommodation.
Accommodation in Campus
Nanguang 4, Nanguang 5 Building and CaiQingjie Building, located in the center of the main campus, are dormitories specially for scholarship students, exchange students, and degreed students. With modern facilities such as air condition, television, telephone, internet access (optional), etc., the buildings provide comfortable accommodation, dining hall, coffee bar, and store for overseas students.

l Live Off Campus
How to apply:
If you wanted to live off campus, please go through following procedures in overseas student affair office in 1st floor, Lianxing Building and remember to maintain reachable contact with your family as well as with the managing staff of the college.
ü Fill out an application form to live off campus and provide following materials:
ü Two copies of ownership papers of the house owner(his/her real estate license)
ü Two copies of the lease contract
ü Two copies of the house owners’ ID card
ü Temporary Residence Report from the local police station, which you can get by providing the police station with passport, lease contract, house owner’s ID card copy, house ownership paper, and OEC Introduction Letter.
ü We will survey the living conditions of the apartment rented by you. You can live off campus after your application is agreed upon by the International Affairs Office director and approved by the Entry & Exit Visa Administrative Office of Xiamen Public Security Bureau.
ü If you change your address, please inform us and then register your new address within 10 days after you move to the new place.
ü Please obey the local and national laws and regulations, respect local Chinese customs and cooperate with local police or the resident committee. You shall be responsible if you commit any rascality or even crimes that dishonor you and Xiamen University.
ü Basically you should not work or do any type of business in China.
ü The school might visit you periodically to make sure your convenience and safety. Please understand and respect our work.
ü You shall be responsible for any dispute that occurs to you during your off-campus living period and bear the consequences thus resulted.
Off Campus Accommodation

A. Da xuecheng&Heng DaBuilding（大学城恒达大厦）
Hengda Building &Daxuecheng are two commercial residential buildings located next to the main gate (west gate) of XMU and provide nice rooms with necessary household appliances like air conditioners, TV sets, washing machines, telephones, etc. You can have a good sea view in rooms in high floors. Since rooms in those two buildings belong to different house owners, you need to consult housing agents if you plan to rent rooms there. Huihe Housing is one of the agents which serves oversea students for years and offers professional service.

Notes:
1. You can contact Ms. Chen for other room types or rooms in other areas.
2. Ms. Chen can introduce you the surroundings nearby and help you with contracts and residence registration form.
3. Ms. Chen speaks little English. You can contact her after you arrive at Xiamen and communicate with the help of your friends. You can also come to OEC office for help.
B. Yong Zhi Xing Hostel（永智兴宾馆）
Yong Zhi Xing Hostel is located in Nanhua Road near Nanputuo Temple outside the Danan Gate of Xiamen University, with a quiet surrounding for study and rest as well as facilities like TV sets, telephones, air conditioners, private bathrooms and free internet access, etc.. It takes you about 15 minutes to walk to OEC class building.

D. Xue LinYa Yuan(学林雅苑)
Xuelinyayuan is run by a union of apartment houseowners, with nice rooms and complete facilities.
Monthly rent:
1000 RMB for a double room
1200 RMB for a triple room
plus water & electricity fee, management cost, Cable TV fee and public cleaning fee, totally around 250 RMB/room/month. Students should buy their own beddings and clear their own rooms.
