Accessing Elsevier Clinical Skills

You will need an OpenAthens account to access Elsevier. This is to ensure that only eligible uses can access the resource and an individual training history can be recorded.

I have an OpenAthens account go straight to Part TWO

I do not have an OpenAthens account - Follow the steps in PART ONE below:

PART ONE

To register for OpenAthens please click on the link below and follow the online registration procedure

You will receive a user account confirmation via email. The email will ask you to authenticate your OpenAthens account.

Once you have authenticated your account you can access Elsevier by following the steps in PART TWO.

PART TWO

Step 1

Go to http://www.elsevierclinicalskills.co.uk/

Click on NHS login in the top right of the screen

Click on ‘NHS England’

You’ll then be taken to OpenAthens to login with your Athens credentials

Upon authentication you’ll be returned back to the Elsevier site

For the first time you login you will need to enter your name and email to create a local account on our platform associated with your Shibboleth ID.

Click submit

When accessing Elsevier for the first time you will be required to create a new account

Click on Yes, proceed to create new account

An email asking you to verify the account will be sent to the email address registered with Elsevier.

Click on the link within the body of the email.

You will then be logged in directly to Elsevier and able to commence your training
