Schüco building automation – Door Control System
The automation of building functions is a key growth area that Schüco has been developing for many years. The product portfolio ranges from simple automation solutions for individual doors or windows, right through to networked automation systems for the entire building envelope. These systems offer a variety of functions that make buildings more secure and more comfortable. They also impress with their often complete integration into the profile systems and feature a well-balanced design. The same can be said of the Schüco Door Control System (DCS) – a modular and flush-fitted door management system that is integrated into the door profile. The system has already been honoured with the iF product design award and the red dot design award.
A high-quality surface made of black glass, the flush-fitted installation with concealed fixings (for integration in door profiles, for example), back-lit house numbers, capacitive, flat code keypads and the proximity switch based on radar technology all provide the Schüco Door Control System with a stylish appearance. All available modules can be arranged according to the “modular design principle” to meet the needs of the users or target group thanks to the uniform dimensions of the respective module components. In this way, it is possible to ensure that wheelchair users or children can also reach the keys easily and comfortably. The Door Control System from Schüco can be used in a total of three product families: door communication, access control and emergency exit control.
From now on, the DCS video camera, loudspeaker/microphone, doorbell, house number, movement sensor, proximity switch and LED light modules, which can be freely combined, are all available for the “door communication” product family. The DCS door communication modules can be combined in different ways to form an overall system: In addition to Schüco indoor intercom stations, the system can also be integrated with existing telephone systems or IP-based network solutions. Furthermore, the DCS system can be connected to the KNX-based building management system in order to unite all of the automation solutions in the building in one system.
The access control (card reader, capacitive keypad and fingerprint module) and emergency exit control modules can then also be integrated whilst maintaining a uniform appearance. The individual modules can be fitted with ease thanks to time-saving clip technology. Coded and prepared cables simplify the electrical installation.
