ACCESS BY FAITH

Romans 5:2

Faith is like a master key that can be used to open so many doors. Faith grants us access into God’s grace, God’s gifts and God’s glory.

Faith is like the key that turns on the ignition in a car. When faith is active, things begin to happen, the engine is ignited and the car is ready for motion.

The heroes of faith achieved so much in their lifetime because of the access by faith. The phrase “By faith” occurs so many times in Hebrews chapter eleven.

Just like people of old, faith will grant us access into God’s grace, God’s gifts and God’s glory.

ACCESS INTO GOD’S GRACE

Romans 5:2; Ephesians 2:8,5; Titus 2:11; 2 Corinthians 9:8; 6:1,2; Hebrews 4:16; 1 Corinthians 15:10

“By whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:2).

The christian life is born of grace and it is sustained by grace. We are saved by grace and this grace comes through faith (Ephesians 2:8,5). The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared unto all men. This grace is appropriated by faith (Titus 2:11).

God’s grace is available unto us. God is able to make all grace abound towards us (2 Corinthians 9:8). We are encouraged to come boldly unto the throne of grace in order to receive mercy and find grace for difficult and needy times (Hebrews 4:16).

However it is faith that grants us access into this grace of God. Faith brings us saving grace. Faith secures for us living grace and it will eventually furnish us with dying grace when the time comes.

All other things being equal, the measure and the quality of grace that we enjoy will be in great proportion to our faith. Strong faith will appropriate abundant grace. Weak faith will grant access into little grace. Develop your faith and plug into God’s grace for victorious living.

God’s grace transforms us into who we are and we should endeavour never to receive the grace of God in vain (1 Corinthians 15:10; 2 Corinthians 6:1,2).

ACCESS INTO GOD’S GIFTS

Luke 11:11-13; Psalm 84:11; James 1:17,5-8; 5:13-18; Proverbs 4:7; 2:6,7; 1 Kings 3:5; Ecclesiastes 2:26; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Hebrews 11:6; John 3:16; Romans 10:8-15.

God has gifts to give to His children. He is not like wicked fathers who can give stone for bread or a serpent instead of fish. God gives good gifts and things to His children (Luke 11:11-13; Psalm 84:11). Every good and perfect gift comes from God the Father of lights (James 1:17).

Wisdom is a gift of God and is one of the principal things in life. Faith can grant us access into this gift of God (Proverbs 4:7; 2:6,7; 1 Kings 3:5; James 1:5-8; Ecclesiastes 2:26; Job 32:8).

The Holy Spirit is a gift from God (Luke 11:13). The gifts of the Holy Spirit are gifts imparted to the Spirit-baptised believer as the Holy Spirit with (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

Healing is a gift from God. Good health is a gift from God. The prayer of faith brings healing (James 5:13-16).

Good and beneficent weather is God’s gift to humanity. The prayer of faith can eliminate drought and bring down the needed rain. It brings down the blessings of God (James 5:16-18).

God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Faith grants us access into God’s gift.

Christ is God’s greatest gift to humanity (John 3:16). Faith enables us to partake of the Son, to enjoy the benefits of redemption through the Son (Romans 10:8-15).

ACCESS INTO GOD’S GLORY

2 Peter 1:3,4; Acts 6:5,10,15; 7:55,56; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Exodus 33:18-23; 34:5,6,33-35; 1 Kings 8:11; Isaiah 6:1-8.

We can be partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:3,4). We can experience the glory of God’s presence. Faith grants us access into this divine glory.

Stephen was full of faith (Acts 6:5). In time the glory of God rested mightily upon him and his face shone like that of an angel. There was an irresistible glory that rested upon him (Acts 6:10,15). He later looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God (Acts 7:55,56).

Like Stephen, we all with an open face can behold as in a mirror the glory of the Lord and we can consequently be changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Moses asked God to show him His glory. By faith Moses had access into this glory and the radiance of it was more than men could stand (Exodus 33:18-23; 34:5,6,33-35).

Any time God comes down in a cloud among His people, He comes with the glory of His presence (Exodus 16:7,10; 24:16,17; 40:34; Leviticus 9:6,23; Numbers 14:10,21,22; 16:19,42; 20:6; Deuteronomy 5:24; 1 Kings 8:11; Isaiah 6:1-8).
