Academic Success and Career Development Center Office Assistant (LTE)

DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

The Academic Success and Career Development Center (ASCDC) Office Assistant is a full-time limited term employee. The ASCDC Office Assistant will provide frontline services for students, faculty and staff members, parents and families, employers and alumni of the Academic Success and Career Development Center and Personal Counseling Services.

Responsibilities:


Front Desk

·  Provide frontline services for students, faculty, staff, alumni and employers

·  Provide general knowledge about accommodations and services offered

Process, Procedures and Programming

·  Assist in event logistics

·  Ensure all student intake information is collected, completed, recorded and tracked

·  Support yearly operational calendar

·  Aid in proctoring exams for Disability and Accessibility Services

Technology

·  Assist in the maintenance of the department systems

Marketing and Communication

·  Assist in marketing and communication tools for department and center events and services

Personal Counseling Services

·  Assist with administration of Personal Counseling Services programming

·  Manage confidential database

·  Provide crisis intake support

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Education or Work Experience:

·  Minimum two to three years professional experience working in an administrative support role

Required Skills and Knowledge:

·  Outstanding customer service skills and flexibility

·  Ability to work independently

·  Good oral and written communication skills

·  High degree of work accuracy with attention to detail

·  Ability to handle confidential information

·  Demonstrate understanding of, and commitment to, the college mission and student population

Specialized Technology Skills:

·  Proficiency with incorporating the use of technology in the coordination of services
