AC Research Topics

Assignment Guideline

Prior to signing up for your topic of choice, you must do some preliminary reading/research on three possible topics. You should fill out the following chart prior to making your final choice. Remember, no more than two people per class can sign up for the same topic, so you should choose three possibilities that can serve as primary and secondary choices. You should choosea group that has contributed to America’s “melting pot” beyond its original British settlers. Give one example or fact for each of your choices as designated below. Take more space to respond than is provided on the form.Type your responses. You will choose your topic in class (first come, first serve) onTuesday, 1/30. You will turn in this work at that time for a minor grade. You may NOT sign up for a topic unless you have completed the assignment completely and correctly. Turning in the assignment one day late will result in a grade of 70; After that, you will receive a 0 for the assignment, and you will have a topic chosen for you. You may NOT change your topic once you’ve signed up. Therefore, based on your preliminary research, you should be confident in finding ample materials and reliable sources.
