Guidelines

The Scientific Committee invites you to actively participate in the Global Spine Congress.This will be an extraordinary opportunity to exchange thoughts,experiences and knowledge with surgeons/spine care professionals from around the world.

Abstract submission will be open until 28 September 2014 at 24:00 CET.

Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.

The presenting author of an abstract must be registered for the event by 21 December 2014.

Abstract submission is possible online through the Congress website only; abstracts submitted by e-mail,fax orpost will not be accepted.The abstract submitter will create a password and the abstract will remain online for review by the submitter until the submission deadline.

Notification of acceptance

Notifications of acceptance or rejection of the abstracts will be sent to theabstract submitter by 10 November 2014.

The abstract submitter receives all correspondence referringto the abstract and is directly responsible for informing all authors of the abstract's status.

After receipt of notification of acceptance, the abstract presenter's name and attendance must be confirmed. The abstract will be automatically cancelled if we don't receive the above confirmation and the registration fee for the abstract presenter by 21 December 2014.

Presentations of abstracts
The submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the presenting author to present the abstract (if accepted) orally or as e-poster in the session and to accept the time assigned by the GSC Executive Program Committee.

Abstract award

All abstract presenters are automatically nominated for the abstract awards. There will be two awards and the winners will be announced on-site. The awards will be sent electronically after the congress.

Typing instructions

Please carefully consider the following details:

  • Abstract texts can only be uploaded as files with .doc .odt .rtf. extensions. (Max 1500Kb file size).
  • It will not be possible to write the text directly online.
  • Abstracts will be published as submitted by the authors.
  • Abstracts can only be submitted in English.
  • Please follow the online instructions to upload the file correctly.
  • The print size will be 12 point.
  • The abstract should not exceed 500 words. This does not include the title, author’s details, acknowledgement, references, affiliation, and captions.
  • The following subdivisions of your abstract are MANDATORY:
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
  • It is permitted to be the presenting author of more than one abstract.
  • It is permitted to be a co-author of an unlimited number of abstracts.
