About UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians

UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians (UBCP) is a multispecialty physician foundation, and an associated clinically integrated network. Our primary goal is to foster physician collaboration to deliver the most advanced maternal and pediatric care throughout Northern California and beyond. We have Pediatric and Maternal Fetal Medicine clinics located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The UCSF Benioff Children’s Physicians Medical Foundation (UBCP) Epic Program Coordinator will lead efforts to support employed and network physician adoption and optimization of the electronic health record. This individual will work closely with the Epic Community Connect team and UBCP team as well as end users to ensure full adoption of our shared EHR. This position is a key contributor to the success of the organization’s Epic implementations and will collaborate extensively with the Epic Community Connect team, practice operations and clinical staff. S/He will act as the liaison among the various teams. Additionally, this position will reinforce and support training efforts with end users. The program coordinator has a thorough understanding of Epic Care modules, ancillary systems, and clinic operations. The program coordinator will supplement and participate in ongoing provider and staff training, coordinate and assist with optimization efforts and help drive product enhancement requests.

POSITION SPECIFIC:

·  Participate in Epic Community Connect implementation meetings

·  Identify system optimization and enhancement opportunities, and work with the Executive Medical Director to lead enhancement requests as an advocate of UBCP providers

·  Participate in and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings

·  Coordinate the EHR Governance Committee meetings in collaboration with the IT Director and the Executive Medical Director to ensure strong linkage between end users and system direction

·  Act as an EPIC Care subject matter expert and possess the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to clinical providers and staff

·  Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·  Possess solid interpersonal skills

·  Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and actively participate in group discussions that lead to productive outcomes

·  Must be willing to train providers, as well as, clinical staff and be able to present the material clearly and with confidence

·  Self-motivated with the ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly, as well as, handle frequent change

·  Willingness to work non-standard and/or extended hours as well as travel to practices within our service area

·  Understanding of clinical and/or business workflows and terminology

Organizational
Working knowledge of an ambulatory clinic

Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards

Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage one’s own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service

Identify and appropriately escalate technical and other system issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
EPIC Care experience required

Epic Reporting Workbench experience highly desired

Experience
Four or more years of progressive responsibility and directly related work experience
