JOB DESCRIPTION

·  Job Title and Summary:The Bangkok Vet Assistant and Co-operator is responsible for the management and coordination of Soi Dog Foundation’s both clinic and mobile unit in Bangkok. Cover in task of treatment, sterilization, manage stock, statistic document and transportation.

·  Key Responsibilities:

·  Work at Soidog Clinic Bangkok or Mobile unit as a veterinary assistant in the care of sick animals such as wound dressing, daily veterinary medicine.

·  Records new case animals on ASM. Initial check-up for sick animals and / or initial emergency medical care and saline supportive.

·  Purchases and maintains of medicines, medical supplies in the clinic to be adequate each day with veterinary such as gas tanks, animal feed, clinical equipment etc.

·  Manage drug stock and monthly medical supplies in clinic and mobile unit.

·  Can work in the operating room, whether it is to help anesthesia or assistant on the operating table.

·  Catch and lift the dog in gently. Not afraid to approach animals.

·  Transport sick dog and cat to the hospital in contact or return to the clinic when the treatment is complete. Including the management of cremation animals died.

·  Manage the documents used in the Mobile unit such as record sterilization statistic information. recording of drug administration, Pre and Post survey, etc.

·  Ensuring proper sanitation of both clinic equipment and medical instruments

·  Assuring appropriate anesthesia and pain management protocols are followed

·  Can replace of the mobile team when they take holiday or sick.

Department and Supervisor:Director of Animal Welfare

Skills and Qualifications:

·  Thai nationality with good command in written and verbal English skills.

·  Should have at least 1 year of clinical experience.

·  Have passion and ready to help animals.

·  Have responsibility, calm and ready to learn.

·  Driver license.

·  Veterinary nursing skills and/or animal behaviour training is a plus.

·  Should have proven skills in personnel management and departmental leadership.

·  The ability to multi-task in a fast paced, challenging environment is crucial.
