ⅠAbout NantongUniversity

NantongUniversity is a comprehensive university with a history of 100 years. It provides a complete range of disciplines including literature, science, engineering, medicine, pedagogy, economics, law, history, and administration. It is composed of twenty-five colleges, having in all 99 undergraduate programs, 17 master’s programs and 3 Ph. D programs. The university is honored with the national key disciplines, provincial key disciplines, provincial key constructing disciplines, provincial service platform for public technology, provincial engineering center, provincial key medical discipline etc. The university presently has more than 35,000 full-time students, including around 2000 students studying for Doctor’s degree and Master’s degree and more than 400 international students. The university now has around 2,200 full-time teachers, including more than 1200 professors and associate professors. The university undertakes hundreds of research items under projects including National 973 Project, 863 Project, National Science Research Fund Project and Social Science Fund.

The university is expanding its international academic exchange and cooperation, like faculty and student exchange programs, research cooperation programs, joint education programs and other programs, with more than 50 universities and research institutes in Britain, the USA, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan and Korea. Each year, there are 20 foreign experts working in the university.

NantongUniversity offers an excellent study environment and convenient living facilities. The university places its emphasis on training applied talents. All specialties, especially the specialties of business administration, clinical medicine and specialties with a focus on Chinese culture, tradition and language, are available for international students. NTU boasts a group of excellent faculty with overseas degrees teaching in the specialty of business administration. The corresponding school also has close connections with big companies both at home and abroad. To learn knowledge of business administration and find the secret of economic development in China, studying in the program of BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) of NTU is a great choice. NTU is one of the universities which can recruit MBBS students taught in English approved by Ministry of Education of P.R.C..The participants in these courses gave high praise to the excellent teaching and high-quality services. There are more than 40 teachers who are qualified to teach Chinese as a foreign language. And the master’s and bachelor’s degree programs for Chinese Language are available, bachelor’s degree of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language is available as well.

Excellent applicants since Batch 2010 can apply for “Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship”. So far, around 30 international students have won this scholarship. Since 2015, Presidential scholarship of NantongUniversity will be available to excellent applicants as well.
