A National meeting organised by the ‘Aberaman & District MCC’ to be held under the National Sporting Code and Standing Regulations of the 2015 ACU handbook, these supplementary Regulations and any other Final Instructions issued or Official Announcements made.

ELIGIBILITY
All Riders must be 18years of age or over and hold a current, valid ‘National’ Road Race Licence. All riders not holding a licence issued by the ACU or SACU, must carry proof of their insurance and a written start permission document by their own European FMN. This includes all riders holding a licence issued by the MCUI. Licences, start permission and insurance documents must be shown when signing on.

The Aberaman Motorcycle Club Reserves the right to refuse any entry. Entries by fax are not permitted unless by prior arrangement with the Race Secretary.
Cancelled Entries Entry fees will only be returned if the meeting is cancelled. The organisers reserve the right to AMEND classes in accordance with the entries received.

INSURANCE The Aberaman motorcycle club undertakes to insure each competitor, indemnifying them against any third party claims arising out of the races and official practice, excluding claims by other competitors, entrants or mechanics, etc.
COURSE The course is 1 mile in length and is to be covered in an anti-clockwise direction. Aberdare Park is situated on the outskirts of Aberdare, Mid-Glamorgan on the B4275, approximately 24 miles north of Cardiff.
PRACTICE
Saturday practice will commence at 8.30am and end at 11.15am. Racing will commence at 11.45am.
Sunday practice will commence at 8.30am and end at 9.30am. Racing commences at 9.45am.
ALL RIDERS MUST COMPLETE A MINIMUM OF 6 LAPS TO QUALIFY
TECHNICAL CONTROLTechnical control will take place between 7.30am and 8.45am Saturday and Sunday. All competitors MUST present themselves fully clothed in their Leathers etc, as for racing along with their machines. All competitors MUST wear Identification Discs made out durable material, circular in shape and worn around their necks, inscribed with NAME and DATE OF BIRTH.
RED REAR WARNING LIGHTS All motorcycles must have a functioning red light mounted at the rear of the machine to be used in rain or low visibility conditions as instructed by Race Control. The team/rider must ensure that the light is switched on whenever a rain tyre is fitted on the motorcycle and/or when any practice or race is declared “wet” by Race Control. Classic or Vintage machines racing exclusively in their own race or event are exempt.
NUMBER OF STARTERS The maximum number of starters allowed on the grid for solos will be 16 for RACING and 24 for PRACTICE.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER All competitors must carry a 2kg minimum Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher in their Race Vehicle, any competitor found not to have one may be fined £50 on the spot for non-compliance of this ruling,
STARTING OF THE RACE All races will be run over a minimum of 8 laps, and will be started by the lowering of the National Flag. All races will be a clutch start.Grid positions will be allocated by Timed Qualifying.
FINISH OF A RACE To be counted as a finisher a rider must cross the finish line within 2 minutes of the winner and have completed at least 75% of full race distance.
TYRES Slick or moulded are permitted unless otherwise stated. Please see page 3.
ANIMALS Please note that DOGS are strictly forbidden in all circumstances whether or not in vehicles or tied up to the vehicle.
PASSES Solo entrants will be allocated 3 passes - any additional passes will be charged at £10.00 each.
PLEASE NOTE The Welsh Open onlywill be run over Two Days, with the qualifying heats on Saturday. The 16 qualifiers will go forward to Saturday’s first leg and then onto Sunday’s leg. The winner will be the rider who obtains the LEAST amount of points over the two days (eg 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points etc). In the event of a tie, the rider with the FASTEST aggregate time over the two legs will be deemed the winner. Open to solos up to 600cc including Classics.
The Aberaman and District Motorcycle Club Management Team and Committee, reserve the right without further notice, to change the format and schedule of any race held at Aberdare Park during the national race weekend.

This event is held under the National Sporting Code of the Auto-Cycle Union, the Standing Regulations, Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions issued for the meeting. The ACU National Sporting Code and Standing Regulations are published annually in the ACU Handbook.
ENTRY DECLARATION: I the undersigned apply to enter the event described above and in consideration thereof: -
•I hereby declare that I have had the opportunity to read, and that I understand the National Sporting Code of the ACU, the ACU Standing Regulations, such Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event, and agree to be bound by them.
•I further declare that I am physically and mentally fit to take part in the event and I am competent to do so. I confirm that I understand the nature and type of event I am entering and its inherent risks and agree to accept the same notwithstanding that such risk may involve negligence on the part of the organisers or officials.
•I accept that insurance arranged on my behalf by the organisers of events that I may enter specifically excludes liability between the participants. I understand that this form may be used in litigation as evidence that any serious injury will be principally the result of my voluntary decision to engage in a high risk activity.
•I consent to details of any injuries I may suffer at this event being passed between all medical services and the Clerk of the Course.
•I consent to the collection and retention of my personal information by the ACU.
•I confirm that the machine(s) as described below which I shall participate on shall be suitable and proper for the purpose. I confirm that I am eligible to participate on the machines for which I have entered.
•I confirm that if any part of the event takes place on a public highway, the machine(s) described below shall be insured as required by the Road Traffic Acts, or equivalent legislation, and that they will comply with the regulations in respect thereof.
•I accept responsibility for any items borrowed from the Organiser during the course of the event. These items include but are not restricted to (safety clothing, transponders, accessories). I understand that I am liable for the cost or replacement of any items lost or not returned and non-payment or non-replacement of items borrowed may affect my entry into subsequent events.
•I confirm that I hold an ACU National Licence and have not been refused an ACU Licence, nor had an ACU Licence suspended, nor have I been excluded from any ACU competition.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE RISKS OF MOTORSPORT: I understand that by taking part in this event I am exposed to a risk of death, becoming permanently disabled or suffering some other serious injury and I acknowledge that even in the event that negligence on the part of the ACU, any event organiser, any circuit owner, the promoter, the organising club, the venue owner, or any individual carrying out duties on their behalf were to be a contributory cause of any serious injury I may suffer, the dominant cause of any serious injury will always be my voluntary decision to take part in a high risk activity.
I have read the above and acknowledge that my participation in motorsport is entirely at my own risk. I agree that I am required to register on arrival by “signing on” at the designated place before taking part in any Practice Session or Race.
