Four Class Teachers – MPS + one point for SEN

Abbot’s Lea School is an all age school for pupils aged 3 -19 years. The main school is based on Beaconsfield Road in Woolton and caters for pupils with an autistic spectrum disorder and associated difficulties, who are of moderate to average ability. The school also runs an Assessment Centre for pupils aged 3 to 7 years, with a variety of special needs, at Matthew Arnold Primary School on Dingle Lane. In addition, the school provides an outreach service to all mainstream schools in Liverpool.

Abbot’s Lea has a well-established, enthusiastic staff team. The school is seeking to appoint teachers who are energetic, committed and flexible. The post could be anywhere in the school or outreach service. All teaching staff are required to co-ordinate a subject area and an ability to offer one of the core subjects would be an advantage.

Abbot’s Lea School places a great emphasis on safeguarding all of its children and we follow Local Authority guidance on all Child Protection and safeguarding matters.

The position is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and suitable references.

Induction, support and training will be offered to the successful candidates.

An application form, job description and person specification is available from the school office, EdNet or by email. Please ask for Jo Scarrott or email on:
