MORE THOUGHTS ON THIS LIST…AND WHY, AGAIN, DID THE QUANTITY OF RECORDS END UP “SHORT”?? OK, from this list, I ended up with 22½ *NEW/ADDED* “long boxes” of records for the Nonchart section. THAT IS USUALLY ENOUGH to fill out the hugest portion of a list, along with all that I’m relisting, giving me no trouble reaching 24 sides (144 pages) when adding in Country, Hits, novelty, etc. I actually started with more than 27 *NEW/ADDED* boxes, which I was sure was more than ample, until I found myself having HORRIFYING AMOUNTS of duplication with stuff from the version of “90b” that was on my website until now, as well as much duplication with Document 84z, and other duplications. I actually put a lot of things aside that I thought were overkill quantities (BY AND LARGE, records that I planned to list for no more than $5). Now, I find that I have room, but it’s too late – the effort to add stuff into an already-done alphabet, and reprinting all the manuscripts for my “printing guy,” etc., would be TOO INTENSE to do nothing but to add a bunch of $4 records (average price for what I “de-selected” from this list). Yes, I have about five long boxes (1,300 records) which were “de-selected” from listing, this time, either by being filed with other stuff ALREADY listed, or removed from the queue because I thought I had “overshot” on quantity. I also forgot about the EXTREME number of records which, on my list, represent 2, 3, 4, and more copies of the same item. This has now happened two years in a row. Adding the remaining 22½ “new boxes” is probably resulting in 12 to 16 FEWER pages of additional listings than I thought, because of the extra quantities of many hundreds of items. In the past, I’m accustomed to only one copy each of almost everything, and I forgot it would be otherwise, This is what happens when I put together warehouse stock.
