The Best Western Greenfield Inn is approximately 2 mile from the HenryFordMuseum, GreenfieldVillage, and the start of the Ford Rouge Factory Tour. It is only 20 minutes from downtown Detroit and only a few more minutes to Windsor, Canada. Remember, you now need a passport to enter Canada and to return to the US.

Come early if you plan on visiting the Museum, Village and Ford Rouge. There is an Old Car Festival Club Meet and Antique Automobile Show, Saturday and Sunday, located in and sponsored by GreenfieldVillage. Paul is entering his Model “A”. If his car is selected, it will be on display and he promises to take all of us a ride around the Village. The museum and village are open daily 9:30am to 5:00pm and will take two to four hours each to tour.

The Rouge Factory Tours leaves The Henry Ford every 30 minutes starting at 9:30am and close at 2:30pm Monday thru Saturday. There are several different tours you can take of the Rouge Factory. Depending on which tour, it will take two to five hours. Monday thru Friday is the best time to take the Rouge Factory tour. Saturday is a nonproduction day. Advance reservations are recommended for the Rouge Factory Tour. Without reservations it is on space available. For more information and reservations call Odell Cadwell 313-982-6001 ext 2091. You can also click TheHenryFord.org for advance reservations.

We would like to get a group to tour the Ford Rouge Factory on Friday September 7th at 1:00pm. Ford recommends we make reservations two or more weeks in advance. If you would like to be apart of this group contact Paul Geda or myself by August 18.

The 13th reunion, September 21st thru September 24th, was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in CarolStreams, Illinois. Thursday evening, Gene and Marge Piraino had a cook out at there home. Friday, Gene organized and was thetour guide for a train ride to and from a several hour tour of downtown Chicago. Saturday, we took a tour of the Cantigny a part of the McCormick Tribune Foundation. Included in the Cantigny are the “BIG RED” FirstDivisionMuseum and Robert R. McCormick Historic House and Museum. Thanks Gene for a job well done.
