4. Context

The Deanery Plan sees St Thomas’s joining with Holy Trinity Waterhead and St Barnabas Clarksfield when the next vacancy in either of these benefices arises. The new Priest in Charge of St Thomas’s will, therefore, be licensed as Assistant Curate at Waterhead and Clarksfield with a view to strengthening links between the two benefices in preparation for a time when they will share one stipendiary priest. The Priest in Charge of Waterhead and Clarksfield will similarly be cross-licensed at an appropriate time.
