A way to shape-part two
Everyone who was walking before me
One by one they melted just like waxAnd I’m thinking how and how to save me
I closed my eyes and hid in a vitreous box
I was from there and I began to know
How to listen and look all around
Yes ‘cause light now was too intense outIt crept my eyelids until the bound
And then the magic light gave me the way to shape
Transparent and floating figures in the middle of the way
The slowly flashing colours were still blinding
At the sight of this great prodigy I could just gape…gape…gape
Mine is a shelter, not a prison
But I feel just like it’s all the same
Really boundless, without any reason
I’m moving in this cold settled game
Like an isolated lighthouse keeper
I try to send my light so far away
The shadows all around become deeper
And how many ships still lose the way?
And then the magic light gave me the way to shape
Transparent and floating figures in the middle of the way
The slowly flashing colours were still blinding
At the sight of this great prodigy, I could just gape…gape…gape
But now the dark is, is all around me
And I realize I’m still alone
The universe now is perfect, but
Maybe I’ve lost something down there
Certainly, Lord, I didn’t know this
When I was leaving for this trip
But now I’ve come until here
And I forget the way to go back
And then the magic light gave me the way to shape

Tutti quelli che stavano camminando prima di me,
uno dopo l’altro si sono fusi come cera
E pensando al modo di salvarmi,
ho chiuso gli occhi e mi sono nascosto in una scatola di vetro
Sono venuto via da li ed ho cominciato a capire
Come ascoltare e guardare tutto intorno
Si perché la luce ora (è) era troppo intensa fuori
Scivola sulle mia palpebre fino al confine
E allora la luce magica mi ha dato la via per formarmi
Figure trasparenti e fluttuanti al centro della strada
La lenta scia di colori che mi stava accecando
Alla vista di questo gran prodigio posso solo restare a bocca aperta
La miniera è un rifugio non un prigione
Ma per me è come se fosse la stessa cosa
Davvero senza confini, senza nessuna ragione
Mi sto muovendo in questo freddo e piatto gioco
Come un solitario guardiano del faro
Io provo a mandare la mia luce lontano
Le ombre tutte attorno diventano più profonde
E quante navi perdono ancora la rotta?
E allora la luce magica mi ha dato la via per formarmi

Ma ora è buio, tutto intorno a me
E realizzo che sono ancora solo
L’universo ora è perfetto, ma
Forse ho perso qualcosa da qualche parte
Certamente, O mio Dio, non sapevo ciò
Quando stavo partendo per questo viaggio
Ma ora io sono arrivato fino a qui
E dimentico la via per tornare
E allora la luce magica mi ha dato la via per formarmi
