If you know anyone who is thinking of volunteering please let them know about our volunteer preparation

Dates for next Volunteer Preparation Sessions

Daytime Sessions, which are 9.15 to 14.45, commence Friday 6th May through to Friday 17th June.

Evening Sessions, which are 18.00 to 20.30, commence Wednesday & Thursday 4th and 5th May through to the 15th and 16th of June

All dates omit half term week.

April is Autism Awareness Month so we are having an Autism Awareness Training session on 15th April 201610.00 – 12.00 at Home-Start office in Corlan.

The Speaker is Mel Kincaid, Teacher in charge of Social Communication County Resource.

This is training that volunteers have asked for on many occasions and, we hope, that giving such advance warning we can get a high attendance.

Can you please let Rena (admin) know if you would like and are able to attend the training, to ensure we have enough numbers for the training to go ahead.

If you are planning on attending please come prepared with a question

Mental Health and Depression Training

This will be at Corlan on Tuesday 7th June

There will be guest speakers and it can be accredited

We will give more details nearer the date.

Talacre Easter Egg Hunt

 Follow the trail around the dunes

 Answer a series of simple questions

 Bring your answers back to the ranger for a chocolate reward

Sunday 27th March. 12.00 – 14.00 Talacre Beach Car Park Event has a £1 charge and all money raised will go to RNLI

Erddig

At Erddig this Easter you can follow the clues through the gardens to claim your chocolate prize. Alsolook for fish in the fish pond and explore the brilliant natural play area, Wolf’s Den, with its rope swings and balancing beams. If you’re visiting the house, look out for the Easter chicks who will be hiding out there until 17th April. Erddig is at Wrexham LL13 0YT and the Easter Hunt is on every day from 25th to 28th March from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission charges apply, plus £2.50 for the hunt.

Chirk Castle

Follow the clues at Chirk Castle and solve the riddles to claim your Cadbury chocolate. You can also roll down the hill, play in the play area, explore the dungeons and take a stroll around the gardens Chirk Castle is at Chirk, Wrexham LL14 5AF and the Easter Hunt is on every day from 25th to 28th March from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission charges apply, plus £2.50 for the hunt.

2016 marks 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl. There will be celebrations for Roald Dahl 100 throughout 2016, delivering a year packed with gloriumptious treats and squiffing surprises for everyone. Volunteer Expenses

It is imperative that all our volunteer claim expenses relating to the financial year April 1st 2015- March 31st 2016 are submitted promptly.

March expenses should be submitted by Friday 8th April.

This will help us to calculate our exact financial position as we move into the new financial year.
