A vendoror partner is a local entity such as a host institution, program provider or travel vendor that will facilitate your trip. Ideally, your Registered Student Organization (RSO) should vet at least two vendors to compare services, costs and quality.

Instructions

  1. Gather the name and contact information of on-site vendors, including contact information for responsible parties. Trip Leaders should investigate where other student groups have traveled in the past and learn about their experiences.
  1. Inquire with vendors about health, safety and security planning and response.
  1. Check vendor references.These references should be student groups or volunteer organizations that also work with the on-site organization.
  1. Review the sample Vendor Evaluationlocated in the purple boxon the RSO page of the Global Safety website if helpful.
  1. Summarize your findings below and submit this Vendor Evaluation to the Office of Global Safety and Security (OGSS) no later than 8 weeks before departure. Only submit one vendor evaluation per trip.
