3.04Installation

Wallsubstratemustbedry and freefromdirt, dust, greaseandothercontaminants.Wallsmust beflat andeven.Removehighspotsandfill lowspotswithmaterialacceptableto panelmanufacturer.
Removewallpaper,solubleorloosepaintandotherforeignmatterthat might interferewithproperadhesivebond.Paintedwallsmust beprepared toadhesivemanufacturerspecificationsforproperadhesion.

4.Begin intopcornernearestmoldingwithlaminateroller, rollingdownandouttowardtheedgewithoutmolding.
5.Continuerollingdownandoutworkingacrosspanel away frompreviouslyinstalledpanelorinitialmolding.Removeall trappedair.
6.Installone-piecedivisionbarandcapsornext moldingby slidingontopanel.
7.Repeatprocess,working in onedirectionaroundroom.
8.Immediately removealladhesiveresidue. To remove, cleanwithnonabrasivecottonclothandwarmwater.Ifnecessary,use amildnonabrasivedetergent. Forcleanupwithsolventbasedadhesives, usemineral spiritsoracetonetoremoveresidue.
E.InstallationUsingCaulk:
1.Planpanel layout soseamsarenotdirectly overseamsof substrate.
2.Apply adhesivedirectlyto backof compositewallpanelwith100%adhesivecoverageusingcrosshatchpattern. Extendadhesive toall edgesof panel.
3.Installpanel.Placesix-penny finishingnails at 1/8inch(3.2mm)spacingagainst thepanel about2 feet(610mm)apart to holdpanels in placewhileadhesivesetsandprovideproperspacingforcolorcaulk.Continueinstallingpanels usingthis method, leavingnails in placeduringinstallation.
4.Removenails afteradhesivesets.
5.Placea narrowpieceofmaskingtapealongpaneledge fromtop tobottom,exactly at jointedge. Firmlyapply tape tobothpanels.
6.Fill1/8inch(3.2mm)gapbetweenthepanelswithcaulk, makingsuregapis completelyfilled.
7.Tiltcaulkingtubeback fromverticalsothat tipof tubeadvances first indirectionof travel.
8.Wet fingerandsmoothbeadifnecessary.
9.Removemaskingtapebeforebeadcures.Cleanoff excesscaulk withdampcloth.
10.Install cornermoldingsas described inmoldinginstructions.
3.05Cleaning
