A Resolution to Urge Public Schools to Require Students To Take a Foreign Language

WHEREAS, Our current Public Schooling system has major flaws; and

WHEREAS, This has clearly affected our students’ abilities to compete both domestically and internationally; and

WHEREAS, Taking a course in a foreign language has been proven to help students do better academically and has proven to have long lasting mental effects; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Congress here assembled should urge public schools to require their students to take a foreign language.

A Bill to Amend the Constitution to Abolish the Electoral College

Resolved, By two-thirds of the Congress here assembled, that the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission by the Congress:

Article 1:

Section 1: With the passing of this legislation, the electoral college shall hereby be

abolished and the election process shall be determined by the national popular vote.

Section 2: The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate

legislation.

A Bill to Ensure Safe Food Choices for School Children

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION I:Schools will provide clearly labeled gluten-free lunch choices so students with gluten allergies can have a safe school lunch.

SECTION II:Students who have gluten allergies need to clearly know which foods in a school cafeteria line are safe for their consumption. Schools should both provide gluten-free choices and clear labelling in the lunch line.

SECTION III:The US Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service will oversee the implementation of this program.

SECTION IV:This bill will go into effect September1, 2017.

SECTION V: All other laws in conflict with this new policy shall hereby declared null and void.

A Resolution to Cease Military Aid to Pakistan

WHERAS,The United States has spent nearly two billion in military aid to Pakistan; and

WHERAS Pakistan has failed to utilize this aid to fight in the War on Terror; and

WHERAS, Pakistan has engaged in questionable relationships with ISIS and the Taliban ; and

WHERAS, The United States must more effectively allocate money in the Middle East; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, The United States cease all military aid to Pakistan.
