A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of John Bruce Milligan III.

With due respect, we pause for a moment to celebrate the rich and bountiful life of John Bruce Milligan III.

WHEREAS, John Bruce Milligan III, born March 16, 1965, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to John Bruce Milligan, Jr., and Barbara Ann Milligan, lived life with the utmost passion and blessed everyone he met; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Milligan devoted his life to the care and training of various breeds of horses including Arabians, National Show Horses, Saddlebred horses and polo ponies, and he was a member of the Arabian Horse Association, American Saddlebred Horse Association, United States Equestrian Federation, and the United States Polo Association; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Milligan was smart, funny, caring and devoutly Republican, and he loved animals, friends, family and life with great abandonment; and

WHEREAS, while his life was brief, Mr. Milligan lived and loved every day as if it were his last, and we celebrate that unrestrained and impassioned spirit; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Milligan, beloved husband, son, brother and friend, left his temporal existence to be with our Heavenly Father on January 8, 2013. He leaves behind his father, John Bruce Milligan, Jr., and wife Pam; his mother, Barbara Milligan; his sisters, Kammie Gammeter (Scott) and Melissa Milligan; his nephew, Blake Gammeter; special friend, Karen Folkers, and countless other family and friends;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The members of the Senate, both individually and collectively, express their most profound and sincere condolences upon the passing of John Bruce Milligan III to his family, friends and community.

âSection 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and celebration of John Bruce Milligan III, whom many are blessed to have met and loved.

âSection 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Senator Paul Hornback for delivery to the family.
