A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Jeffrey Michael Gregg.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Jeffrey Michael Gregg, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Michael Gregg was born on August 16, 1979, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and longtime resident of Crittenden, Boone County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on February 9, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Michael Gregg was the loving son of Karen L. Catron of Crittenden, Kentucky, and Wayne J. Gregg of Cincinnatti, Ohio; he was the adored grandson of Arnold and Delores Catron and Fred and Ruth Gregg; he was the caring brother of John P. Gregg; and he was the very special friend of Rhonda Dixon and Benny J. Morris; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Michael Gregg was a senior at Walton-Verona High School and was a member of Vocational Industrial Clubs of America through Boone County Vocational Technology where he held the position of chaplain for two years; his graduating class of approximately 70 attended his funeral service where each senior placed a red rose in a vase with the inscription "Class Buddy" on the card; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Michael Gregg was a NASCAR advocate, and through the Starlight Foundation, his wish came true when he traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina, to meet famous NASCAR drivers such as Richard Petty, David Green, Bobby Allison, and Cale Yarborough; and

WHEREAS, a life spent worthily should be measured by deeds, not years, and through his compassion, enthusiasm, and genuine love and concern for his friends, Jeffrey Michael Gregg is worthy of the highest commendation;

WHEREAS, the passing of Jeffrey Michael Gregg has left a void that will be difficult to fill, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. This honorable body does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Jeffrey Michael Gregg, and does extend to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Jeffrey Michael Gregg.
