A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of James W. Larmouth.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to James W. Larmouth, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, James W. Larmouth was born on September 9, 1921, a native of Earlington, Hopkins County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on April 3, 2002; and

WHEREAS, James W. Larmouth was the loving son of the late Edward Raymond and Willie Baldwin Larmouth, and he was also preceded in death by a brother, John Larmouth, a sister, Lois DiPasquale, and an infant sister, Emma Lee Larmouth; and he was the loving brother of two surviving brothers, Raymond Allen Larmouth of Earlington, and Jewell M. Larmouth of Madisonville, and he was the proud uncle of four loving nieces and two loving nephews; and

WHEREAS, James W. Larmouth was a devout member of First Christian Church in Earlington where his funeral services were held on April 6, 2002, with burial in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville, where Masonic graveside rites were conducted by the E. W. Turner Masonic Lodge 548, and military rites were conducted by American Legion Post 6, and the Bailey Pride VFW Post 5480; and

WHEREAS, James W. Larmouth was an esteemed member of the Hopkins County community where he was an educator for over thirty years, serving as principal, coach, and superintendent of Earlington High School, and assistant superintendent of Hopkins County Schools; he was a member of the Hopkins County Retired Teachers' Association, and he was a member of the board of directors of the James Larmouth Family Resource Center at Earlington Elementary School; and as a player and coach, he was inducted into the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Basketball Hall of Fame; and

WHEREAS, James W. Larmouth served his country with pride and distinction in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater; he was a member of the Joseph Vernon Lloyd Post 2 of the American Legion, the Bailey Pride VFW Post 5480, and he was a member of the E. W. Turner Masonic Lodge 548; and

WHEREAS, the passing of James W. Larmouth has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of James W. Larmouth, and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, April 15, 2002, it does so in loving memory and honor of James W. Larmouth.

Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mr. Jewell M. Larmouth, 2209 Brent Drive, Madisonville, Kentucky 42431, and to Mr. Raymond Allen Larmouth, 212 East Farren Avenue, Earlington, Kentucky 42410.
