A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in honor and loving memory of Helen Wagers Vance.
WHEREAS, Helen Wagers Vance was born on October 17, 1915, as the twelfth of thirteen children born to Arch K. and Mary Fowler Wagers. Mrs. Vance married the late Guy Vance in 1938, and together they lovingly raised three children; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Vance enriched the communities in which she lived through active participation. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She danced as a member of the Mason County Square Dancing Club. She was a member of both the Grant County Homemakers and the Mason County Homemakers, where she delighted in sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, and cultivating roses; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Vance served God as a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Maysville, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Vance departed this earthly life into the presence of her Lord on October 23, 2012, at the age of 97; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Vance is survived by her beloved children, Robert Vance, Nancy Sebree, and Juanita Working; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
â Section 1. The House of Representatives expresses its most profound sense of sorrow and proffers its sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and community of Helen Wagers Vance.
â Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Helen Wagers Vance.
â Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Robert D. Vance, 821 Park Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056.
