A)Philips Entertainment SL PAR 155 ZOOM LED Wash Luminaire

1)General

(a)The luminaire shall be a color-mixing high-intensity LED wash luminaire with 8 or 16 bit DMX control of intensity and color. The luminaire shall be a PAR type wash with a 8deg to 40deg zoom optic. The basis of design for this luminaire shall be the SL PAR 155 as manufactured by Philips Entertainment.

(b)The luminaire shall conform to UL 1573 stage and studio use as well as UL 8750 LED standards and tested via ETL to conform to the aforementioned UL specifications, luminaire shall hold ETL, cETL, and CE markings.

(c)The luminaire shall, at a minimum, comply with the following standards:

(i)ANSI E1.11 – 2008 (R2013): Entertainment Technology - USITT DMX512-A, Asynchronous Serial Digital Data Transmission Standard for Controlling Lighting Equipment and Accessories.

(ii)ANSI E1.20 – 2010: Entertainment Technology - RDM - Remote Device Management over USITT DMX512 Networks.

(d)The construction of the unit shall be cast aluminum with molded engineering grade plastic in a matt black finish. Normal operation of the luminaire shall not require tools.

(e)The following shall be provided:

(i)The luminaire shall have an integrated control system that provides local controls offering access to set up parameters, preset colors, stored custom presets and chases, and status reporting.

(ii)A mechanically adjustable zoom shall allow for a range of output from eight (8) to forty (40) degrees.

(iii)Pre-approved alternate products that do not provide a 8deg to 40deg zoom shall provide a full set of no less than (4) additional lenses and lens holders per fixture

(iv)Sturdy integral die cast gel frame holders with two accessory slots, and a top-mounted, quick release gel frame retainer

(v)The luminaire shall provide mounting capabilities from an included yoke to which approved mounting devices can be attached. The yoke shall also operate as a floor stand.

(vi)The luminaire shall include a locking accessory frame slot shall include dual channels for accessories. A spring-loaded locking mechanism shall prevent accessories from falling from the luminaire.

(f)Power supply, cooling and electronics shall be integral to each unit.

(i)All control and Power input and output shall be located on opposite side of the luminaire lenses.

(ii)Variable fans shall be used to provide forced-air cooling for internal components. In addition, the fans shall be capable of being disabled where the unit shall regulate intensity without utilizing the fans.

(g)The unit shall ship with:

(i)Theatrical-style hanging yoke as standard

(ii)Cast iron C-clamp Altman #510 suitable for use on up to 2” O.D. pipe.

(iii)An 18 inch safety cable.

(iv)Neutrik PowerCon to PowerCon power cable

2)Encironmental

(a)Maximum operating ambient temperature shall not exceed 122 degrees Fahrenheit (50 degrees Celsius)

(b)A variable speed cooling system shall be employed to maintain the optimal operating temperature of the luminaire.

(c)Luminaires shall be low maintenance and environmentally friendly, all units shall be mercury free.

(d)The luminaire shall utilize advanced thermal management systems to maintain LED life to an average of 70% intensity after 50,000 hours of use

(e)The luminaire shall operate in an ambient temperature range of 0°C (32°F) minimum, to 50° C (122°F) maximum ambient temperature.

(i)The luminaire shall provide temperature monitoring technology. This technology employs provides the operating temperature for the luminaire as well as high and low records.

(ii)The current and past temperatures shall be readable in the menu system under Status.

(iii)The luminaire shall be capable of having its fans disabled via the menu system or DMX where the unit shall regulate luminaire intensity in relation to temperature without utilizing the fans.

(iv)Luminaires not utilizing temperature monitoring technology and luminaire status will not be accepted.

3)Electrical

(a)The luminaires current draw shall not exceed 150 watts with all RGBW engines at full output and shall not exceed 150 watts in any of the preset color settings; luminaires that do not meet these criteria shall not be accepted.

(b)The luminaire shall be equipped with a 100V to 240V 50/60Hz internal power supply

(c)The luminaire shall support power in and thru operation

(i)Power in shall be via Neutrik® PowerCon™ input connector

(ii)Power thru shall be via Neutrik ® PowerCon ™ output connector

(iii)Luminaire power wiring and accessory power cables shall be rated to support linking of multiple luminaires up to the capacity of a 15A breaker

(d)The luminaire requires power from a non-dim source

4)LED Emitters

(a)The luminaire shall employ nine (9) LED light source engines that will not emit light in the ultra-violet (wavelengths less than 400nm for UV-A,B, or C) or the Infrared spectrum (wavelengths of more than 775 nm). Units that emit light within this spectrum shall not be accepted.

(b)The luminaire shall utilize Red, Green, Blue, and White LEDs for a wide variety of color mixing options and selectable CRI.

(i)The light engine source shall consist of nine (9) fifteen (15) watt RGBW LED engines used in conjunction with nine (9) lens systems.

(ii)Each LED engine shall consist of individually addressable Red, Green, Blue and Daylight White channels.

(c)All LEDs used in the luminaire shall be high brightness and proven quality from established and reputable LED manufacturers.

(d)Manufacturer of LED emitters shall utilize an advanced production LED binning process to maintain color consistency.

(e)LED emitters should be rated for nominal 50,000-hour LED life to 70% intensity

(f)LED system shall comply with all relevant patents

5)Calibration

(a)Luminaire shall be calibrated at factory to achieve consistent color and intensity output between luminaires.

(i)The unit shall include a color calibration system, ensuring that each luminaire can replicate colors within a pre-defined color space.

(ii)The color calibration shall be set at the factory and shall be capable of being enabled or disabled via the menu, DMX, and RDM.

(iii)Luminaires not utilizing color calibration technology will not be accepted.

(b)All LED fixtures (100% of each lot) shall undergo a minimum eight-hour burn-in test during manufacturing.

6)Color

(a)The luminaire shall be provided with a 4-Color (Red, Blue, Green, and White) color mixing system to achieve full spectrum color rendition and excellent CRI.

(b)The luminaire shall be equipped with an LED system compatible with standard 8-bit or user selectable 16-bit control for full range high-resolution dimming.

(c)The luminaire shall be optimized for low saturate colors (pastels) as well as high saturate colors used in theatrical applications. Luminaires utilizing 3-color (Red, Green, and Blue) mixing systems shall not be accepted.

7)Dimming

(a)The LED system shall use 16-bit nonlinear scaling techniques for high-resolution dimming.

(b)Luminaire shall provide full range (0-100%) dimming without exhibiting flicker or stepping. Dimming curves shall be optimized for smooth dimming at low intensities and over longer timed fades.

(i)Dimming curves shall be selectable via the luminaire menu, DMX and RDM for various methods of smooth dimming over long timed fades.

(ii)The luminaire shall be digitally driven using high-speed pulse width modulations (PWM) in concert with power factor control (PFC) to ensure a smooth flicker free dim curve from 100 to 0 % and shall be imperceptible to video cameras and video related devices.

8)Control and User interface

(a)The luminaire shall be compliant with the ANSI E1.11 – 2008 (R2013) standard via In and Thru 5-pin XLR connectors

(b)The luminaire shall be equipped with multi-line LCD display and navigation buttons for configuration.

(i)A full color LCD menu system shall provide essential system information and operational controls.

(ii)The LCD display shall automatically orient the display according to the orientation of the unit, thus ensuring the menu is readable in various configurations.

(c)Security settings shall be employed on a four (4) level access. Each level shall allow access to additional features and settings.

(i)Configuration settings, power up presets, hour reset, and password settings may be set under full access control.

(ii)Security settings shall follow a four level access and noted as the following:

Level 0 System is unlocked

Level 1 Editing and saving presets and settings are locked

Level 2 Settings menu is locked

Level 3 All settings available are locked

(iii)Luminaires not utilizing this type of technology or any security settings shall not be accepted.

9)Quantities

(a)The LED Wash Luminaire shall be the Philips Entertainment SL PAR 155 ZOOM with c-clamp, power cable, data cable, and safety cable or preapproved equal with comparable output and a rated life of 50,000 hours for the light engine.

(b)Fixtures with a rated life of less than 50,000 hours shall provide additional light engine assemblies including LED Arrays and drivers to extend the life of the fixtures provided to 50,000 hours

(c)Provide LED Wash Luminaires in quantities and configurations as described by contract drawings and schedules.
