Assumption’s 10th Annual Spring Auction is the result of months of planning, hours of calling upon donors, envelope stuffing and much more. We are grateful for all of the volunteers who teamed together to help create this wonderful evening.

Josh & Josie Sinclair

Josh is a working musician, a singer/songwriter & seasoned professional in performing, touring, & songwriting for over 13 years; having toured the country numerous times & co-written songs with some of the industry’s most prolific songwriters. He performs acoustically throughout the Midwest, occasionally alongside synth and backup vocalist, Josie Ann, who brings a unique style to their music.

Josh has toured coast-to-coast and has shared the stage with Leann Rimes, A Fine Frenzy, NEEDTOBREATHE, Carolina Liar, Great White, Bad Company, Blind Melon, The Bodeans, Cody Canada & The Departed, & countless other national acts. He’s signed 3 different record contracts since 2003 and has showcased for Universal, Capitol,Atlantic, & various others over the past 5 years. As a songwriter, Josh has placed multiple songs on MTV, NBC, and various other national network television shows.

We encourage you to participate in the annual Assumption auction. This event provides vital funding for the parish, school, and religious education programs. Proceeds from the auction assist the parish in maintaining the facilities, providing liturgical and educational supplies, and paying our dedicated staff salaries. We hope you have an enjoyable evening of fellowship and fun at the auction. We ask God’s blessing on you and your family.

General Auction Rules

1.The Assumption Church and the Auction Committee warrant neither the quality nor value of items auctioned. All items are sold in “as is” condition. Dollar values are estimates often provided by the donor and are not warranted by the Auction Committee for tax purposes or current value.

2. Please be aware of expiration dates on all gift cards & certificates.

3.Successful bidders shall pay the Auction Cashier in full for items won at the conclusion of the auction. Checks should be made payable to Assumption Church. Items may be removed only after the guest obtains a paid receipt from the cashier. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

4.All items must be removed at the close of the Auction Saturday, June 7th, 2014 unless other arrangements are made.

Silent Auction Rules

1. The number on the back of your program is your bid number.

2. Bid sheets are placed by each item. Write your bid number and the amount of your bid on the bid sheet. Please write clearly!

3. All bids are in whole dollar amounts & increase by stated amount.

4. You may bid on as many items as you wish and as many times as you wish.

5. Once a bid is entered on the bid sheet, this constitutes a valid & binding bid.

6. Scratching off bids is not allowed. Your bid will be disqualified if you attempt to block the way of others who wish to bid. If a bid is disqualified, the preceding bid will be honored

7.BE CAREFUL! Your bid must meet or exceed the minimum bid increase stated on the bid sheet, or you may lose the winning bid.

8.If your bid wins, proceed to the cashier to claim your item 30minutes after the live auction closes.

Live Auction Rules

1.The number on the back of your program is your bid number.

2.Items are auctioned in the order listed unless otherwise noted.

3.Bid by showing your bid number to the auctioneer.

4.Values are set by the donors or the Committee’s estimate and are not warranted by any outside party.

5.Avoid disappointment by contacting the donors of your purchase as soon as possible to inform them that you have the winning bid and to make any necessary arrangements.

6.Decisions of the Auctioneer are final.

7.If your bid wins, proceed to the cashier to claim your item after the auction.

Check Out Procedures

1. The Cashier’s table will open 30 minutes after the close of the live auction and will remain open for two hours or until all money is collected. So relax and have a good time!

2. Please pay the cashiers only. Payment by check, cash, and all major credit cards welcome.

3.For tax purposes, typically your donation is limited to the excess money paid over the established value of the item, but please refer to current tax laws for the latest information.Our tax id number is 42-0707111

3001Preschool "Handprint Table Runner"

Our youngest students delightfully placed colorful handprints upon the runner,each tiny handprint is delicately encircled in stitching. Bishop Pates, Fr. Remi and Principal Hartman's signatures rest in corners, accompanied by embellished apple leaves, a symbol of knowledge. Scripture Bishop Pates suggested weaves throughout the runner to create a stunning class gift.

3002Pre-kindergarten "ThumbprintDaisy Vase"

Students joyously selected paint and proudly pressed thumbprints onto the vase. Each hand painted daisy holds a precious thumbprint as its center. Scripture encapsulates the top, accompanied by an angel softly nestled amongst the students names. This charming class gift embodies the ideals and values that as our students grow and blossom we foster their love of God and desire to learn.

3003Kindergarten "Garden Stepping Stone"

As our students step to the future they prepare their hearts and minds to learn. With great care and attention to detail each student embossed a beautiful heart upon a hand painted tile. This spectacular class giftis embedded with gorgeous pieces of stained glass tucked between each students artwork. An amazing addition to any garden.

Our first grade class was introduced to the beginnings of lifewith the hatching of chicks in the classroom. The excitement and joy of life beginnings emulates in this remarkable class gift. Each studentpainted a bird and thoughtfully added an exquisite scenery to the background. A tribute to life's blessings.

30052nd Grade "Celebration of Faith Canvas"

This canvas celebrates our students journey to deepen their faith connection. Students freely hand painted Crosses on to canvas. Scripture and additional embellishments the students picked add an expression of individual creativity. Each Cross is gloriously displayed in a hand crafted wood frame. An inspirational class gift.

30063rd Grade "God's Reflections"

This mirror represents our students appreciation for God's creations. The piece is inspired by beauty in our natural world. Each studentthoughtfully painted an original flower upon a handcrafted wooden frame.Students enthusiasm and creativity are in bloom on this gorgeous mirror. A magnificent class gift.

30074th Grade "Heavenly Tray"

As our students take an active role in their school community;they embrace the ideals and values of serving the Lord. Thisserving tray holds a star each student individually embossed. A heavenly class gift.

30085th Grade "Wind Chimes"

Hear the music of the Heavens! Each copper chime is embossed with students individual artwork. The AssumptionSchool logo is proudly displayed in the center. Students artwork shine with the addition of a solar powered light which illuminatesthe chimes. A dazzling class gift.

30096th Grade "Directional Garden"

Our students are planting the seeds of knowledge and learning to choose the right path to God. The base of the planter holdsa variety of herbs, vegetables, and flowers. The beauty of the piece isfound in the unique birdhouses each student has artfully designed. A gorgeous class gift.

30107th Grade "Game Box"

Our students have learned it is important to take time to talk, play and learn about our friends. The studentsin this class embrace the enjoyment of others. They individuallydesigned and painted tiles to reflect the school spirit and pride they hold. The top of the box is a chess and checker board and the bottom serves as storage for favorite games. An enjoyable class gift.

30118th Grade "Bench"

Our eight grade students hand painted tiles with symbols of their favorite memories at Assumption School. The artwork and names of students align the top of bench and scripture is embossed underneath. The bench is a symbol of a place where studentsare able to sit and remember past events and teachings. We wish our eighth grade students many blessing in all their future endeavors. An exquisite class gift.

3012Religious Education "Garden Planter"

The Religious education program is a corner stone of our community. This planterrepresents an expression of the church and community working together to nurture and foster a love of Christ in all our students. A trinity knot graces this piece, a symbol that unites the Father, Son and Holy Sprit. A stunning work of art.
