DEEPENING SELF-COMPASSION
Wednesdays April 22 – May 27, 2015
“A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day…
A string of such moments can change the course of your life.”
- Chris Germer, PHD, Author of The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion
Research has begun to show that self-compassion training results in decreased depression and anxiety, increased life-satisfaction, and even changes in the neural pathways of the brain. We know from experience that self-compassion is a pathway to freedom from the life-limiting practices of self-rejection and judgment that many of us have perfected over the years. This group program will support your efforts to create a string of self-compassionate moments, a life of self-acceptance and joy. We will draw on the work of Tara Brach, PhD (author of Radical Acceptance), Kristin Neff, PhD (author of Self-Compassion: Stop Beating Up on Yourself and Leave Insecurity Behind), and Christopher Germer, PhD (author of The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion).
