A Message from Mrs. Mccreary

The mission of Frazee Elementary School is to provide quality research based instruction in an environment which is safe, harmonious, and conducive to learning that enables a diverse population to become independent, productive citizens, and lifelong learners.

A Message From Mrs. McCreary…………

We would like to invite all of you to attend our Christmas Program on December 14 at 1:15 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Students in kindergarten, first, fifth, sixth and the Frazee Singers have been busy preparing for their performance of A Winter Fantasy. We are looking forward to a wonderful musical to celebrate the Christmas Season. Frazee families are invited to attend the CMS Concert on Dec. 22nd at 8:40 and our annual Sing -a-Long at 1:40 in the gym.

I want to thank the many parent volunteers who have given so much time to our school this year. Having your support and help is so appreciated and we thank you! Have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful time with your family during the holiday season!

School Delays and Closings

As winter weather approaches, parents of students in Fayette County Schools are reminded there may be times when it will be necessary to delay or close school. Under most circumstances, the decision to delay or close school will be made between 5:30 and 6:00 AM.

A delay means the School Corporation is delaying the start of school by two hours. Buses will run two hours later than normal. On delay days, there will be no morning Head Start class.

A school closing means that school buildings are closed and students will not be in attendance that day. All days cancelled by weather will be made up at the end of the school year.

Parents who need childcare should make arrangements for someone to care for their younger children in the event schools are closed.

A few of the media stations that will broadcast school closings or delays for the Fayette County School Corporation are listed for your convenience:

WQLK-FM Radio, 96.1, Richmond

WIFE-FM Radio, 94.3, Rushville

WRTV-TV, Channel 6, Indianapolis

WISH-TV, Channel 8, Indianapolis

WTHR-TV, Channel 13, Indianapolis

WXIN-TV, Fox 59, Indianapolis

WTTV, Channel 4, Indianapolis

WLWT, Channel 5, Cincinnati

Government/Education CTV, Channel 3

Parents and students are asked not to call school offices, school personnel, E911, central dispatch or radio and TV stations to obtain school closing/delay information.

Special Days for Frazee Families

We will have our annual holiday sing- a-long on Dec. 22nd at 1:40. The same day students will enjoy celebrating the end of the semester. Students may wear jingle bells and Santa/Elf/Reindeer hats next week (Dec. 18-22) to school. Families are welcome to join us for the sing-a-long!

Dress Warm for Recess

Please have your child dress warm each day because we go out to recess every day if it is at least 25 degrees (temperature and wind chill). Students need warm coats, hats and gloves. Coats cannot be worn during class so send a sweatshirt if your child is cold inside the building. Students should not wear shorts to school.
