WHAT IS HAPPENING AT ROSEBANK?

There are three main ways to keep up to date with what is happening:

1.  Visit the school website – rosebank-pri.highland.sch.uk

2.  Why not ‘like’ our official Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/rosebankprimarynairn

3.  Follow us on Twitter - https://twitter.com/RosebankPrimary

Of course, if you do not have access to the internet, we can provide paper copies of any school newsletters etc. Just get in touch with the class teacher.

ADVERSE WEATHER - PARENTS’ TELEPHONE LINE

The telephone number used to check for school closures and for adverse weather information is Freephone number 0800 564 2272. Our Pin Number is 04 2880 or visit www.highland.gov.uk/schoolslosures

TESCO – BAGS OF HELP

If you shop at the Tesco Super store in Forres or Tesco Extra in Elgin please vote for Rosebank. We have been shortlisted for the public vote in the Bags of Help initiative. If we are successful the money will be used in our Playground Improvement Project.

POST BOXES

Pupils can post their Christmas cards to other children in the school from Tuesday 6th December. There will be post boxes in the infant and main buildings. Each day a different class takes on the role of postman and delivers the cards around the school. PLEASE MARK THE ENVELOPE WITH THE CHILD’S NAME AND CLASS TO ENSURE SPEEDY DELIVERY.

CHRISTMAS PARTIES

Christmas parties will be held from Monday 12th December until Friday 16th December. All pupils Nursery to P7 are asked to contribute £1 each to cover the cost of party food. School funds cover the cost of drinks, cups, plates, napkins etc.

CHRISTMAS CHURCH SERVICE

On Thursday 22nd December the end of term Christmas service will be held at Nairn Old Parish Church from 1330. Parents, carers and other family members are welcome to attend. Sadly this will be Mr Brander’s last end of term service, please come along and wish him well.

THANKS FROM NAIRN ACADEMY

It was very pleasing to meet so many P6/7parents from our ASG at our Open Afternoon on Thursday 10th November. We value these opportunities to support parents, and young people, on their first steps transitioning into secondary school. Our next event is the “Teach the Parents” evening on Tuesday 17th January where parents will have an opportunity follow a short timetable and experience ‘life in the classroom’ again and be taught some valuable lessons, both curricular and extra-curricular! Children are also welcome to attend and enjoy some team building games or attend classes with their parents. More details to follow before the Christmas break“
