John 14:1-3 (King James Version)
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

After This

( A Funeral Sermon)

Introduction:

There is something about death that seems to be so final but

  • it is really not the end–it is only the beginning of a glorious future with God
  • OR IT IS the beginning of torment and suffering forever in a place called hell.
  • The Bible calls the saints of God "pilgrims and strangers" in this present life.

There is a "hereafter" and where we are in that "hereafter depends upon whether or not Christ is our Lord and Savior in the present life.

Everyone should know of a definite time when he or she met the Lord Jesus Christ in the free pardon and forgiveness of sins.
