A fundraiser tea to benefit cancer charities and local scholarships

On behalf of the Education Enrichment Council, we would like to invite you to sponsoran afternoon fundraiser tea to benefit cancer charities and local scholarships. The firstEEC Chari-Tea is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m., at the WakullaOne-StopCommunity Center, located at 318 Shadeville Road in Crawfordville. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Education Enrichment Council Service Scholar Awards, American Cancer Society Relay For Life, and Pieter’s Pals.
Entertainment will be provided by local talent and guest speakers. For the past two years, EEC has held Fashionology – Wakulla On the Runway, featuring local models in various categories. We are looking forward to continuing this tradition as an entertainment portion for our event, in addition to a Chari-Tea Cake Competition and a silent auction.
The Education Enrichment Council is a student-led program through the WakullaCounty Coalition for Youth. EEC is dedicated to providing college and career exploration and personal growth through leadership, fundraising experiences, and scholarships. Relay For Life is an overnight community fundraising walk that honors local cancer survivors, remembers patients who lost their battle, and provides a community celebration to raise money for American Cancer Society. Pieter’s Pals was founded by Florida State University graduates Jenn and Piet Swart, in honor of five-year-old Pieter Cornelis Swart, IV, who passed away in September 2014 after a long battle with Neuroblastoma, an aggressive pediatric cancer. Pieter’s Pals donations are distributed to organizations helping kids and their families battling cancer and groups committed to finding a cure for childhood cancers.
