School Camp is only three weeks away!Wednesday 8th – Friday 10th November at, Carey Park Christian Camp, 397 Henderson Valley Road, Henderson, Tel 09 837 0494.
A few final reminders to all parents:
Camp fees ($210) need to be paid in full by Friday 27th October, or sooner if you can. You can pay with cash, Eftposor online banking ASB 123039 0881101 00.
On Wednesday 8th November all students gear to be placed in the hall when they arrive at school. Students go to their class as normal for roll call. Any parents assisting at camp can gather in the hall.
Please check the ‘camp gear list’ on our Tirimoana App under Y6 notices. All students need their items named and must be able to manage to carry their belongings themselves.
Students (plus their gear) will travel to and from camp by bus, any parents joining us as a helper please drive yourself to camp or car pool with another parent who is also helping. For further information about Carey Park camp itself, click on this link:
Parent Helpers please note:
Thank you to all who have offered assistance on our school camp. This year we are lucky with the number of parents who have volunteered their time. Please check the timetable carefully below if you have offered to help at camp.
There are a few parents listed as staying through the day and overnight. The other Day Parents who are helping need to be at camp by 8.30am please.
Our camp day (activities) run from 8.30am – 4.30pm. Parents who are coming for the day please recall that there is a charge if you have the camp meals with us. An alternative is that you can bring your own lunch with you from home. Prices for meals are listed below, tea & coffee and biscuits are free of charge and available to you.
The cost for day visitors:
Breakfast - $10.00; Lunch - $17.00; Dinner - $25.00*unless you provide your own meals.
If anything has changed for you and you can no longer help at camp with activities for the students please reply to me on this email ASAP, thank you. The “Confirmed Helpers” have a meeting on 17/10/17 at 7pm at school.
Thank you for helping to make this a great experience for our Year Six learners. I know it is a highlight of their primary schoolyears.
