$16,500 • HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT FOR SALE • I have a prewar 1941 Aeronca Chief 65ca for sale.It is the one that was placed in RockefellerCenter for bidding by the US Gov’t for a spotter in WW2. It now has an O-200 with an Ivoprop cockpit controllable prop. Have original engine and parts. Firewall aft not modified. Firewall forward has undergone modifications. In central Ohio at Chapman Memorial Airfield (oh71), Centerburg Ohio, I am offering solo and dual rental in my two newly restored Champs. 75hp hand prop and a 100hp electric start. Both are LSA with radios and intercoms.
It costs $200 annually to be able to rent(insurance costs) and $60 per hour wet rental with flight instruction free in the rental CHAMPS.
Alternatively, $30 an hour dual in your airplane and $30 an hour for maintenance. I only charge by the hour for maintenance when I am working, not when I am thinking about working!
I am also providing hanger rental, light maintenance and aircraft recovering services. I now have a waiting list on the aircraft recovering.
The airfield is 3200' of grass and is well suited to tailwheel airplanes. TRICYCLES are not recommended. All traffic patterns are to the north of the 9/27 runway and we use 122.9 for Unicom.

AND we have a nice shop, facilities, bunkhouse at $30 per night for overnight students.
It’s great teaching folks off the grass to fly AERONCAS!

We are just trying to teach pilots in tailwheels and keep the fun in flying! LIKE IT USED TO BE! And because it’s all about AVIATION, it sure ain't about makin’ money! LOL!
