2007 BUM conference General session speakers
Neil Anderson
Neil has been married for 42 years and has four grown children. He with his wife Carol have been missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators for the past 36 years. Together they have invested their lives in the lives of the Folopa people of Papua New Guinea. The dedication for the completed New Testament is scheduled to take place in January 2007. The Andersons began a new assignment with Wycliffe starting in September 2006 at Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C., Canada. Both Neil and Carol will be working with students who are training for missions and in particular, Bible translation. Both Neil and Carol have been speakers at Urbana Missions Conference. Neil co-authored with Hyatt Moore the book “In Search of the Source”.
David L. Owen
Dave is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and has been serving as a missionary in Micronesia for the last 19 years. Dave is currently president of Pacific Island Bible College, an accredited four year college located in Guam. Dave met his wife Joyce while attending BIOLA University as an undergraduate and has been married since 1979. Dave was the general session speaker at our original BUM conference back in 2005. This year Dave will be speaking from our conference key verse, 1st Timothy 1:5 “Love is an Action”.
