MEMORANDUM FOR: RECORD Class 10-021

SUBJECT: GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR Special Operations Combat Medical Skills Sustainment Course (SOCMSSC).

1. Students attending the SOCMSSC / SOPMSSC course may use this memorandum as a reference when preparing to attend the course. ***BRING YOUR NATIONAL REGISTRY BASIC/PARAMEDIC CARD / USSOCOM ATP CARD DOCUMENTS SHOWING NUMBER!

2.  REPORTING: 06 Sept 2010 is the designated travel day! Sign-in at the schoolhouse is not required! Classes will be held at the “SCHOOLHOUSE”, BLDG 5-3845, JSOMTC starting @ 0730hrs on Day of Training #1 (07 Sept 2010) in Duty Uniform. Be seated by 0720 hours for roll call from ATRRS! If your name is called and you are not seated by 0730 hours your seat will be given up to the first available standby slot period.

3.  EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS: Any delays in travel arrangements, you need to call the JSOMTC CQ @ (910) 396-7775/5911/0089 you must also leave contact information before 0730 hrs 1st day of class. Contact our After-Duty cell (910) 286-8298 immediately when you have a delay in being able to get here before the start date!

4. BILLETING. Is paid for by your unit, All USASOC Units will utilize the Extended Stay Hotel at the rate of ($72.00 per night + tax) We provide transportation with 1 (15 Pac vans) from this location ONLY! 5. Class AAR’s. During the second week of training, there will be a one-hour block that is set aside for the student AAR. This is your chance to update the instructors and your classmates with what is current and relevant on the battlefield today. Usually this AAR focuses on mass casualty incidents, equipment that worked well or failed for you, improvised equipment or treatment that was used, or new injuries or disease patterns that are being seen. This is your time, so if you feel that you have something relevant to put out, please bring pictures or write-ups about it and we will incorporate it into a slide show for you once you arrive. If you have any questions pertaining to the AAR, please don’t hesitate to call us before arriving.

6. RECOMMENDED PACKING LIST. As follows. There will be at least one exercise conducted out of doors. BDU's/ACU’s/ABU’s, UNIT HEAD GEAR, PT UNIFORM (Army, Navy, Air Force)
