Also visible TARO leafwith stem, fresh ginger root with stem & leaf, bunched RED SHISO leaves. Bianca lavender eggplants, globe & fingerling white eggplants, baby Filipino eggplants. Light skin Armenian Cucumbers, no Lemon Cuc’s yet, pickling cucumbers of all sizes plentiful, DUCK EGGSRED WALNUTS. New crop Asian Brown Pears & beautiful Yali Chinese Pears. A nice assortment of ‘full slip’ picked ripe melons, like Hami’s.

To summarize; BEST of the market were the all RED sweet SHISITOPEPPERS from organic TOMATERO FARMS; Red Walnuts & Red Shiso. NOW events at the Golden Gate Produce Terminal where Parkview is located. Buyers Robert & John see global fruits, that have ALL entered underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. Starting with Pineapples from Maui, Hawaii, MEXICO, COSTA RICA & GUATEMALA.Whole Garlic from SPAIN,ginger root from BRAZIL, Guaje flatbeans & Guayaba Guava’s from MEXICO,NEW ZEALAND Zespri Gold Kiwi, AUSTRALIAN Blood Oranges, Capelli Sun Dried Julienne Tomatoes from Turkey, Boat shipped PERUVIAN Avocado’s, also Murcott, Orri Mandarins & HoneyTangerines. Plantains from ECQUADOR. Litichi Nuts from CHINA & Asian Green Papaya’s. Closer to the Bay Area, local full RED THAI CHILEPEPPERS were seen in 30# boxes, price very high. Green EMERALD BEAUTYPluots, yellow flesh, very sweet with unique flavor. Fresh YELLOW BAHRI DATES on the stem, crunchy, sugary. New crop uncured GREEN OLIVES arrived last Friday. Try RED DANDELION GREENS you will be supporting Cerutti Farms. Other dynamic items are Baby Sunburst & Green Zucchini, Squash Blossoms from Borba Farms. Local White Spring Onions, Golden Boss Pears from Linden, Ca. Tasty Sweet Limes, 150-175 Count Limes, 3 or 4ct Keith Mango’s, large fruit, luscious taste. Hawaiian Papayas slightly green, yet ripen very well. Okinawa Purple Sweet Potatoes also from Hawaii, novelty sweet potato. If you are looking to do a purple mash potato, Okinawa is the one. Packaged fresh are Chef Mix Mushrooms, fresh Wood Ear or Tree Ear in 5# units is great with soups & Asian recipes.Tamarind Pods or paste, Dried Jamaica, Galangal Root. Turmeric, Horseradish & Lotus all plentiful. From Golden Farms we have Peeled Shallots & Peeled Cipollini onions in 5# jars. We find the quality from this smaller farm is better then the humongous Christopher Ranch operation. Yahwhoo is very steady with the basics, Arugula, Bulls Blood, Cilantro, Rainbow Mix & Fresh Origins is the very prolific grower of many specialties.
