HOW IT WORKS

  1. This is our largest and main fundraiser. All marching band members are required to participate. The goal for each student is $200.
  1. March-A-Thon will run for 4 hours on October 1 during a special rehearsal with a clinician. All donations are due before practice starts on this day.
  1. Students contact family, friends, neighbors, and local businesses to obtain donations for the 240 minutes they will practice.
  1. Parents and Students may download from the band website any form that was included in the March-A-Thon packet (Fact Sheet, Donation Form, Donation Request Tips) as well as a Family and Friends sample letter that your student can use to contact family and friends that live out of town. Your student may personalize this letter before sending it out. If your student mails the letter, you may want to include a self-addressed stamped envelope to make it easier on the donor to send the donation back to you. They can also donate directly with credit card orPayPalby visiting the Leander Band website at

(A Business Sponsorship letter is available to use to solicit sponsorships from businesses. A copy of this letter is also on the Band website titled Business Fundraiser letter)

  1. Money (cash or checks made out to LHS Band Boosters) and donation forms can be dropped off at any time in the gray box located outside of the band director’s office. Make sure you put all donations inside one of the March-A-Thon envelopes available in the band hall.
