A Black Blazer with the School Logo on the Pocket

It is the policy of the Governing Body of The Wey Valley School & Sports College that the school has a uniform which all students are required to wear. We believe that by wearing our uniform students are making a statement that they belong to our community, share our values and wish to be associated with all events related to the school. We hope students will wear the uniform with pride. The school offers clothing grants to families who are in need (i.e in receipt of free school meals). Where students are not eligible for Free School Meals but a case of financial hardship can be made, the Governors may choose to make an exceptional award of the grant. Applications should be made to the School Office in each instance.

Where any aspect of a student’s appearance is deemed inappropriate by the Principal, parents / carers will be contacted by the school. Students not in correct uniform may be sent home or internally isolated until the problem is resolved. Medical conditions preventing the wearing of correct uniform require a letter from a doctor.
