Managing Currency Exposure with

HKEx’s RMB Currency Futures

Following the accelerated pace of RMB exchange rate reforms, we are seeing growing demand from Hong Kong companies with overseas businesses for products to manage USD/RMB risk. As a result, HKEx will soon offer the world’s first deliverable RMB Currency Futures. The futures will be a useful tool for corporations and individuals to either manage FX risk or position themselves for RMB exchange rate fluctuations.

HKEx and HKTDC are pleased to jointly offer a seminar to explain the features and key benefits of the RMB Currency Futures to SMEs. Practical trading applications for hedging RMB currency exposure will be discussed, and HKEx representatives will be present to assist with enquiries about the futures’ trading arrangements.
