World War II Timeline Project

For the next 3 days we will be creating a timeline that follows the war from beginning to end. The purpose of this project is to encourage you to examine events that most people know about while also giving you the chance to learn about some topics that are lesser known.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Research all of the events at the bottom of the page that occurred during World War Two. There are 20 topics that you are required to research and accurately place in chronological order with a primary source picture and a date (as specific as possible). You then need to choose TEN (10) with at least two 2 from each group and add a detailed description (At least 4-6 sentences) that includes:

· What happened

· Why it happened

· The effects/impact of the event

To complete this assignment, you have options:

1. Create a Power Point where you place each event in chronological order (making sure I clearly know when each event took place).

2. Use a poster board to neatly organize your timeline.

3. Any other creative way you would like to organize a timeline.

You must cite where you get your information from if the information does not come from the textbook or notes. Use these for as much of the project as possible. This should be in your own words not copied and pasted (you will not get credit if you do this).

WIKIPEDIA can only be used for pictures!
