This Show is a qualifier for the Alf Balls Memorial Tankard for the Shire Foal, progeny of a mare in the Society’s Mare Subsidy Scheme, gaining the most points at a number of nominated local shows. Kindly sponsored by John & Ann Balls.
Points will be awarded in both the colt and filly classes
This show is a qualifier for the Champion Young Handler ~ Eastern Region. Trophy Kindly Donated By The Late Arthur Rule. Exhibitors in this class MUST NOT have reached their 19th birthday on the day of the Show

ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY BUT NOT CATALOGUED
RULES
1. All animals entered for the Show (except Geldings and entries for Classes 7, 9, 10, 11 & 12) must be registered or eligible for registration in the Shire Horse Society’s Stud Book or Grading Register and to be the property of Society members, who must abide by National Shire Horse Society rulings.
2. Every horse must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor at the time of entry.
3. Hard hats must be worn at all times when horses are being ridden.
4. Ridden Heavy Horse Class ~ Open to any ridden heavy horse. The class will be judged on performance and obedience as a ridden horse. If exhibits are plaited it is advised that flights/standings are left out for safety reasons.
5. No stallions will be accepted in the young handler class.
INDEMNITY REQUIREMENTS
The owner of any horse which shall, during the time it is on the Show premises, cause or occasion any damage or injury whatsoever, shall indemnify and hold harmless the Society from and against all actions or claims, and repair any damage which may be so occasioned, and shall be responsible for any injury or damage occasioned by or to the servant or servants in attendance of such animal.
