Welcome to LFERCC and thanks for your interest in our club

We are an AMA-chartered club and we offer AMA members the opportunity to participate with a broad variety of radio-controlled aircraft: Airplanes, helicopters, quads, small, large, electric, nitro, gas powered, or turbines, we fly just about everything!

If you want to join, you need to be an AMA member. The AMA is a national organization dedicated to the furtherance of our hobby. They provide our club members with liability insurance, so all of our members must also be members of the AMA.

You can join the AMA online at:

Age 19-65 - $58 65 & over - $48 Under 19 - Free

The application for LFE membership is located here:

To join the club, you also need a current member of the club sponsor you. If you come out to the field, or come to a meeting (second Wednesday of the month at 7pm), meet some of the guys, and most anyone will sponsor you.

The annual cost of Open (adult) membership is $100, with an additional $150 one-time initiation fee.

Youngsters under 18 with current AMA cards can join as a Junior Member for $30 per year, and are not charged any initiation fee.

Training is available for all age groups, and is free of charge. For more information regarding training, contact write Jeff Stern at Don’t buy that 1st plane until you speak to Jeff or your instructor. They will guide you to the right choice. A common mistake is buying the wrong trainer airplane.
