TIP #7 – O Canada!

Welcome to Educorock's IDEA CENTRAL! Every week, we provide language teachers (of French, Spanish and English) a "Tip of the Week", "Subject of the Day" and a "Featured Song/Video" for you to receive for FREE! Try the "Tip of the Week."Feel free to adapt and modify these ideas.Have your studentswrite journal entries and host class discussions about the "Topic of the Day." TIP #7 –O Canada!- To the studio! Transform your classroom into a recording studio. Use your cell phone or a different video or audio recording device to record your students singing their own version of O Canada (or the national anthem of your country). Using the same melody of your national anthem, have students create a new version using your target language. Plan a patriotic campaign for this last week of school. Make your school proud of your country by spreading patriotism using your target language. You may wish to write special morning announcements, make signs and posters, raise flags, make and serve food authentic to your country, and more!
